Netanyahu: Arabs Must Recognize Jewish State of Israel
Notwithstanding
the profound existential challenges facing the Jewish state and the free world
and a seeming lack of will on the part of most Western nations to combat these
threats, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu concluded his address at the
"Israel Towards 2020 Conference" at the Begin-Sadat Center for
Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University with hope and determination. "I
believe in the power of the people of Israel and I believe in the power of the
State of Israel," Netanyahu declared, noting the country's
"wondrous" achievements in all fields since its establishment.
While voicing hope
that peace and prosperity will come to the entire region, he warned his
audience against taking Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's friendly words at
face value and urged them to examine the facts behind the Israeli-Arab
conflict. "Iran's goal is to take over the entire Middle East and beyond,
and to destroy the State of Israel. This is not speculation; this is their
goal," the Israeli leader stated.

Israeli Doctors Work Undercover in Syria to Save Lives
Previously, United with Israel reported on treatment of Syrian civilians in IDF
field hospitals along the Israeli-Syrian border and in hospitals inside Israel
itself. Despite a lack of diplomatic relations with Syria, Israel continues to
take these measures, refusing to stand idly by as hundreds of thousands of
people are massacred. What many don't know is that in addition to assisting
Syrians who manage to cross the border into Israel, Israeli doctors are risking
their lives by entering into Syria, Jordan, and other places, in order to
assist Syrian refugees.

Spiritual
Leader's Funeral Draws One-Tenth of Israeli Population
An estimated 800,000 mourners - approximately one-tenth of Israel's population
- attended the funeral in Jerusalem this past Monday evening for Rabbi Ovadia
Yosef, considered one of the greatest Torah sages of this generation and a
leading authority on Jewish law. Yosef served as Sephardi chief rabbi of Israel
from 1973 to 1983 and subsequently as the spiritual guide of the ultra-Orthodox
Shas political movement. His Shas party was, in a sense, a kingmaker; it could
make or break coalition governments.
