Election Results from the Only Democracy in the Middle East
Israel,
the only genuine democracy in the Middle, held elections yesterday. In
these elections, Likud-Beytenu led by Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu
received 31 mandates, Yesh Atid led by a journalist named Yair Lapid received
19 mandates, Labor, led by Shelly Yachimovic, received 15 mandates, and both
the Mizrahi Shas party and the Habayit Ha-Yehudi led by an American citizen
named Naftali Bennett received 12.
Prime Minister
Netanyahu has declared following the conclusion of election day: "I wish
to thank the millions of the citizens of Israel carried out their democratic
right today..."

beautiful Fruit Trees of Israel blossom into magnificent expressions of bounty
and beauty! . Please join our project, in partnership with Zo Artzeinu ("this
is our Land"), to plant Fruit Trees in Israel - A Very Good Deed! This
is a special opportunity to contribute to the physical and spiritual beauty of
the Land of Israel. This year our trees will be planted in southern
Israel- near towns that were hit with rockets of destruction.

Tell Canadian TV: Jerusalem is Israel's Capital (not
Tel-Aviv)!
Honest Reporting, an organization that monitors media bias against Israel, has
reported that the Canadian television network channel CTV reported that Tel
Aviv was the capital city of Israel while covering the floods that occurred in
the Holy Land not too long ago.
From an historical point of view, Jerusalem has only been the capital
city of the Jewish people. No other nation has made Jerusalem their
capital city throughout human history.

Tu B'Shvat is Here: Israel's NEW YEAR
for.... Trees!
New Years may be over, but did you know that there is another New Year holiday
being celebrated this month? The Holiday of Tu B'shvat takes place on
the 15th day of the Hebrew month Shevat, January 26 this year (falls
on Shabbat), and marks the New Year for Trees. That's right, trees.
This holiday serves a very practical purpose. When it comes to the laws of
tithing in the Land of Israel, it's important to know which produce belongs to
which year.
