Israeli
Schools Teach Children to Value Peace
According to a
report published by the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance
in School Education, the Israeli educational system "showed an effort to
remove stereotypes against Palestinians, advance the values of peace and
tolerance, improve the understanding of the national other, and nurture mutual
respect and non-violent conflict resolution between the two sides" between
2009 and 2012.
The
report, titled "Peace, Tolerance, and the Palestinian Other in Israeli
Textbooks" claims that Israel continues to educate her children that peace
is desirable and possible, even though it is difficult to
achieve.

PURIM: Turning Sadness into Joy!
The festive holiday of Purim commemorates Israel's salvation from extermination
by the mighty Persian Empire, some 2500 years ago. Jews in Israel and all over
the world celebrate Purim on the 14th day of Adar (this year Feb 24th) as a
time of "Light, Gladness, Joy and Honor for the Jewish people"
(Esther 8:16).
Purim is a classic story of deep-rooted anti-semitism, pitting a powerful
ruler (King Ahasuerus) and his vicious, arrogant advisor (Haman) against the
Nation of Israel. Plans were drawn up for the "final solution" -
wiping the Jews off the face of the earth.

Israel Says NO to Biased UN 'Human Rights' Review
There is a saying that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. This phrase comes to mind when one witnesses the international reactions to
Israel deciding to skip this years UN Human Rights Council Universal Periodic
Review.
During this proceeding that all 193 UN member states undergo,
dictatorships frequently line up friendly countries to claim falsely that they
are advancing human rights, yet at the same time will attack Israel, the Middle
East's only democracy.

The Sea
of Galilee is Thriving!
The Israeli Water Authority has announced that Lake Kineret, otherwise known as
the Sea of Galilee, is reaching its way towards maximum capacity. The Kineret
level has now risen to 210.48 meters below sea level, while maximum capacity is
208.80 meters below sea level.
After the Kineret level would reach that point,
Lake Kineret would overflow its banks and thus flood the nearby city of
Tiberius. This would force Israel to open up the Degania Dam, which has been closed most of the time in recent years due to low rainfall.
