Capture.PNG Israel Puts Conflict Aside To Save Palestinian Lives

According to a 2012 World Health Organization report, Israel approved 91.5 percent of Palestinian applications from Gaza to receive medical care in Israel proper, while an additional 7.2 percent were approved pending a security check. In total, 210,469 Palestinians received medical treatment inside Israel proper in 2012.

This statistic includes 20 Palestinian children who were in need of marrow transplants, kidney transplants, and other life saving operations that the Palestinian Authority did not have the ability to perform.

village Israeli TV Show Highlights Israel’s Vibrant Democracy

The Master Chef TV program, Israel’s main reality television cooking show that features a competition on who can cook best, has concluded with title of master chef being bestowed to Tom Franz, a German convert to Judaism who presently is a lawyer. Second place went to Salma Fiyumi, an Israeli Arab Muslim nurse with a masters’ degree who lives in Kfar Kassem, and third place went to Jackie Azoulay, a religious woman from the haredi city of Elad.

Egyptian Peace Activists Say ‘No’ to Muslim Brotherhood

In recent days, there has been an increasing number of Egyptians who are opposed to Muslim Brotherhood rule in Egypt. They have been taking to the streets out of the desire to create a true democracy in Egypt and prevent the creation of an Islamic theocracy that will be a bitter enemy of Israel.

They support women’s rights, minority rights, and human rights generally speaking. They have been chanting, “Down, down Morsi, down down the regime that killed and tortured us,” in a reference to the 21 soccer fans of Port Said who were sentenced to death by the Egyptian government.

Pro-Israel Activist Shows How to Reach College Students

Chloe Simone Valdary, who just started up the Allies of Israel student group at the University of New Orleans, has some very interesting ideas regarding how Israel can best be promoted on campus.

Up until now, Israel has been facing an uphill battle on campuses across the United States, with groups like Students for Justice in Palestine on the offensive as pro-Israel student groups are frequently on the defensive. Yet Chloe thinks that there are better ways to confront the anti-Israel activists on campus.
