YOUR Name was Hanging on Jerusalem's Old City Walls!
May 8, 2013 was
Jerusalem Day and to celebrate, United with Israel hit the streets
along with the names of over 100,000 supporters who have signed the Jerusalem
Declaration! The signers of the Declaration agree that Jerusalem must
remain the undivided capital of Israel, which was declared by the modern day
State of Israel and heralded by King David over 300 years ago.
As the crowds
began arriving in the Old City along with the proud marchers waving their
flags, we too proudly hung our banner on the millenia-old Jerusalem walls. We
placed the names of the signers on our banner so they could be a part of the
event! If you look closely, you might just see YOUR name!

Why Jerusalem MUST Remain United
From the United States to the European Union to the developing countries,
political leaders are calling for the division of Jerusalem. Such
proclamations disregard the deep historically Jewish attachment to the city and
the fact that true freedom of worship for all three monotheistic religions has
only occurred under Jewish rule. People who make such claims ignore
the fact that Jerusalem has had a Jewish majority, not an Arab one, for over
100 years and that even a majority of the city's Arab population prefer Israeli
rule to the Palestinian Authority's dictatorship.

Stories from Jerusalem during the Six Day War
Prior to Six Day War, Jewish residents of Jerusalem were routinely targeted by
snipers and denied access to holy shrines. Yet since Jerusalem's
reunification, Jews from around the world come to pray at the Western
Wall.
The Musrara neighborhood, located near the former 'no-man-zone' between Israel
and Jordan prior to the Six Day War, suffered immensely before the
reunification of the Holy City in the Wake of Israel's miraculous victory in
1967. Avi Elzam, a long time resident of the neighborhood, recalled that it was very difficult to live in a divided Jerusalem.

Become a Guardian of Jerusalem
Join United with Israel in our campaign to support and strengthen
Jerusalem as the Eternal, United Capital of Israel. We promote free
and open access to Jerusalem for all peoples and religions, under the exclusive
sovereignty of the State of Israel. The eternal connection between Jerusalem
and the Jewish people is unbreakable.
In biblical times (11th century BCE), Jerusalem was established as the capital
of Israel by King David. Ever since, there has been a formidable Jewish
presence in the city whenever historically possible.
