Palestinian Newspaper Recognizes Israel Helps Palestinians
According to
Palestinian Media Watch, the Palestinian daily Al Hayat Al Jadida reported, "PA
Minister of Health, Hani Abdeen visited the Israeli Hadassah Hospital.
This is the first visit by a Palestinian minister to one of the most
important Israeli hospitals, according to the hospital's announcement.
Minister Abdeen who was accompanied by a delegation that included senior
officials of the ministry and of the PA, met with the Director of Ein Karem
Hadassah Hospital, Yuval Weiss. He [the minister] visited Palestinian patients
being treated in the hospital, and he distributed gifts."

Israeli and Palestinian Children Learn Peace Through
Soccer
The Peres Center for Peace is a non-profit organization which was founded in
1996 with the goal of promoting peace between Palestinians and Israelis at the
grassroots level, through people to people interactions. According to project
manager Sivan Hendel, "The center is working through all sorts of
aspects to bring Jews and Arabs together, in order to break down barriers and
build a sustainable future." One of the ways that the Peres
Center for Peace is doing this is through having Palestinian and Israeli
children regularly play sports together.

Israel Respects the Rights of its Minority Citizens
According to the Israeli Declaration of Independence, Israel "will ensure
complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants
irregardless of religion, race or sex."
The Israeli Declaration of Independence also guarantees "freedom of
religion, conscious, language, education and culture" and called upon
Israel's Arab citizens to "participate in the up-building of the state on
the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all of its
provisional and permanent institutions." Israeli Arabs are able to
contribute to every aspect of Israeli life, as full and equal members of
society.

Israeli
and Iranian Researchers Collaborate to Help Pregnant Women
According to Israel's Channel 2 News, an Israeli professor from
Georgetown University, Offie Soldin, has published a report with a group of
Iranian researchers comparing the American Thyroid Association
guidelines with the Endocrine Society's guidelines concerning how to deal with
thyroid problems affecting pregnant women.
The research was conducted both in Iran and in the United States and was
supported by the American Thyroid Association, which is considered a leading
organization in its field.
