Waze, the Israeli social GPS app, recently made one of the biggest exists in Israeli history. Co-founder Uri Levine spoke publicly for the first time since the purported $1.03 billion sale to Google, at the Israeli Entrepreneurship Conference at the Technion in Haifa.

The startup man addressed the sale, but also spoke about the company's early days and its journey to success. "On the one hand it is a great feeling [to have sold Waze]. On the other - they took away my baby!" Exclaimed Levine at the beginning of his talk, before explaining just how that baby journeyed from a three-person startup to global success.

IDF and Palestinian Medics Team Up

This week, a young Palestinian man was struck by a car while riding his donkey in the village of Huwwara, near Nablus. To save his life, IDF paramedics and Magen David Adom - an Israeli civilian volunteer organization - joined together with the Palestinian police and the Red Crescent.

One of the first on the scene was IDF paramedic 2nd Lt. Shir Schlosser. "Whenever we are called to an accident, we don't consider whether it was an Israeli or Palestinian man who was injured."

Israeli Entrepreneur Brings Solar Energy to Rwanda

Duel American-Israeli citizen Yosef Abramowitz is in the process of finalizing a deal between Energiya Global and the Rwandan government on the building of Rwanda's first solar field.

The solar power plant would be built east of the country's capital city of Kigali, at the Agahozo- Shalom Youth Village, a boarding school for genocide orphans that was founded by a South African Jewish philanthropist based on the Israeli model for dealing with trauma victims.
