'Refaeinu': Helping Israeli Cancer Patients and Kids
Many critically ill patients within Israel face numerous difficulties. They are
deeply concerned about their health, but are unsure who to turn to in order to
treat their condition, especially if their treatment is very costly and not
fully covered under their health plan. "Many cancer-stricken people,
including children, cannot receive the proper medications to treat and perhaps
cure their disease because the country's 'health basket' doesn't include
it," says Rabbi Chaim Shapira, founder of Refaeinu.
This is where Refaeinu steps in to help. According to Shapira, "Many people
don't know where to go in these cases, as they seek both the best doctor
available to treat their illness, as well as financial advice on how to pay the
bill. This is exactly why Refaeinu exists."

India & Israel: Increasing Partnership in Trade & Security
Since Israel and India established diplomatic relations in 1992 following the
collapse of the Soviet Union, Indian-Israeli relations have rapidly improved.
Today Israel is India's second largest arms supplier after Russia.
According to PR Kumaraswamy, a professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New
Delhi, "Growing military cooperation extends beyond arms sales to technology
upgrades, joint research, and intelligence cooperation. Despite its possible
implications for use against Iran, on January 21, 2008, India launched a
300-kilogram Israeli satellite into orbit."

Archaeologists Discover Evidence of Israelite
Tabernacle
According to the Hebrew Bible, when the ancient Israelites led by the biblical
prophet and leader Joshua entered Eretz Yisrael, the city of Shiloh became the
resting place of the Tabernacle which held the Ark of the Covenant.
Recently, archaeologists doing excavations in Shiloh have discovered holes
carved into the the rock which may indicate that the site was the location of
the ancient Israelite tabernacle. These holes are similar to what could have
been used to prop up temporary beams utilized for a temporary structure like
the Tabernacle.
