Jerusalem attack

Palestinian terrorists set out on a shooting spree in Jerusalem, which ended with a critically wounded victim and their own deaths.

Two Palestinian terrorists shot and wounded a man in Jerusalem Wednesday morning as they carried out a shooting spree in the capital, firing at a bus and then at a crowd near the Damascus Gate at the entrance to the Old City.

The attack began at 8:00AM when the terrorists fired at a bus full of passengers from a vehicle they were driving. The passengers inside the bus saw the terrorists train their weapons on the bus and ducked for cover as the terrorists opened fire.

Another by-passer drew his weapon and fired one shot at the terrorists, causing them to flee the scene.

No one was injured in this incident, and the bus itself was not hit by the terrorists’ bullets.

About half an hour after the first attack, a police force spotted a vehicle which matched the description provided by the victims on the bus, driving near Damascus Gate.

They then noticed that the terrorists had guns pointing out the window.

The terrorists opened fired at the crowd, hitting a 50-year-old Arab man who was sitting in his car.

The security forces fired back and killed the two terrorists. They found several improvised automatic weapons in the vehicle, indicating the terrorists planned to carry out a large-scale massacre of civilians.

The wounded victim was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in critical condition, sedated and on a respirator. Doctors said his life is in danger.

This was the third Palestinian terrorist attack in the capital and the fifth in Israel in 24 hours, and the latest incident in a long series of almost daily Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of the past six months, claiming the lives of 33 victims and wounding some 400.
