The State of Israel mourned the death of Corporal Netanel Yahalomi throughout Sunday.  The 20 year old Yahalomi was killed by terrorists at the Israeli-Egyptian border on Friday.

Details regarding what exactly happened during the attack have been emerging throughout the day.  Army officials have reported that Netanel was the first soldier to notice the terrorists approaching the border.

He immediately shot and killed one of the terrorists and continued shooting  – 23 bullets in all – until a terrorist bullet hit him in the head and killed him.

Three terrorists were killed and two escaped into Egyptian territory.

IDF sappers found firearms and explosives in the possession of the terrorists including an RPD machine gun, a rocket propelled grenade, Kalashnikov guns,  grenades, and other equipment which indicated that they had planned a massive attack once they got past these soldiers and entered Israel.

The terrorists, who were dressed as civilians, attacked the IDF soldiers as they were providing water to African migrants.
