A mother's insistence on burying her baby son in Hebron was a step in the direction of rebuilding the ancient Jewish city.

Palestinian vandals ripped off a Mezuzah, a Jewish artifact, which was affixed to the main entrance at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Friday, while the holy site was open solely for Muslims in honor of the Muslim month of Ramadan.

"We see ourselves not as individuals, but on a mission connecting young people to their Jewish roots," says Rabbi Simcha Hochbaum, who educates the public about the significance of the Jewish city of Hebron.
