An IDF soldier who was wounded in the southern coastal city of Ashkelon was the latest victim in the ongoing Arab terror attacks against Israelis.

A terrorist stabbed and lightly wounded an IDF soldier at the bus station at the coastal city of Ashkelon on Sunday morning.

The victim sustained one stab wound to his upper body and was taken to Barzilai Medical Center in the city for treatment.

The terrorist attempted to flee the scene, but another soldier who witnessed the attack took the victim’s weapon, chased the terrorist and shot him, wounding him seriously. He subsequently died of his wounds.

The terrorist was identified as a foreign national, and police say the attack was terrorism-related.

This attack occurred just hours after a terrorist stabbed and wounded a 65-year-old woman at the Bedouin town of Rahat. The terrorist in that incident is still at large.

These attacks are the latest in a long series of near-daily terror attacks which have plagued Israelis over the course of the past five months, claiming the lives of 30 victims and wounding some 300.
