[VIDEO] The Making of a Shofar

The “Shofar”, made from the horn of a ram or other kosher animal, is traditionally blown as part of the prayer service of Rosh Hashana (the Jewish New Year), which is almost upon us. Its’ blowing is certainly the highlight of the day, inspiring Jews all over the world to heed its’ inspiring calls and return to God, the King of Kings.

There are many varieties of Shofars – they come in all shapes, colors, and sizes… all with a common purpose and message for the future. The piercing sound of the Shofar reminds us of the day when the Nation of Israel will finally be redeemed, with the arrival of the Messiah and the rebuilding of our Holy Temple in Jerusalem.

The Shofar inspires us to change our ways to show God that we are ready for that very special day.
