UNRWA, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Arabs claiming to be refugees, has caused outrage by apparently giving rockets to Hamas.

On Thursday, UNRWA confirmed that 20 rockets had been found in one of its vacant schools in Gaza, but according to media reports, the organization returned the deadly weapons to Hamas terrorists.

“UNRWA strongly condemns the group or groups responsible for placing the weapons in one of its installations. This is a flagrant violation of the inviolability of its premises under international law,” UNRWA stated at the time, adding that they had “informed the relevant parties and successfully took all necessary measures for the removal of the objects.”

UNRWA did not name the “relevant parties.” However, Channel 2 reported on Sunday that rather than destroying the rockets, UNRWA workers contacted Hamas to come and remove them.

Hamas has fired over 1,500 rockets at Israeli population centers over the past two weeks. Israel is in the midst of a ground invasion of Gaza in order to destroy massive terror infrastructure.

UNRWA Refuses to Help Israel Fight Terror

While UNRWA confirmed the existence of the rockets at one of its schools last week, the organization also refused an Israeli request to provide a photo of the weapons. A picture could have helped Israel show that Hamas uses civilian institutions to store weapons and launch attacks.

Hamas has openly used human shields in its latest conflict with Israel. The terrorist group issued a statement Thursday urging Gaza residents to ignore IDF warnings to evacuate their homes.

Earlier, Hamas gathered civilians to stand on the roof of a senior terrorist’s home in order to deter an IDF strike.

In a recent interview with United with Israel, Brooke Goldstein, founder and director of the New York-based Lawfare Project, stated:

“UNRWA is a prime example of how we in the West are digging our own graves. Taking U.S. money…to educate Palestinian children to be terrorists and to benefit terrorist groups like Hamas that we know are inside UNRWA camps.”
