Israel is experiencing a much needed significant rainfall that is vital for maintaining sufficient water reserves. The amount of rain so far this season is ahead of the average rainfall for this point in the year.
A significant amount of rain has swept across a great part of the country since Tuesday, raising the Sea of Galilee by 1.37 inches! As well, this has marked the highest one-day rise of the season so far for the northern lake, one of the key water sources for Israel.
Along with the plentiful rainfall has come some unseasonably cool temperatures, possible flooding and snow on Mount Hermon in the Golan Heights!
Winter rains are a vital necessity for the land of Israel and so far this Winter is off to a great start!
Let’s hope it will continue so the land will receive the a beneficial amount of water.
