Thousands of European Jews survived the Holocaust thanks to the Albanian people – Righteous Among the Nations – who sheltered and protected them from the Nazis.

Albania was the only country in Europe to have a larger Jewish population after World War II than before the war. This is because the Albanian people, Muslims and Christians, sheltered thousands of Jews escaping the Nazis from all over the continent.

Many Albanians risked their lives for this noble mission.

This film is an informative recollection of events and ordeals that Albanians and Jews experienced before, during and after WWII, told by Jewish survivors of the Holocaust.

A fascinating and moving film about the Jewish rescue in Albania during World War II, it is well worth watching!
