WATCH: WWII Veteran Reunites with Freed Holocaust Survivor

This is a very touching video showing an emotional reunion between a Holocaust survivor in Israel and a US veteran who had rescued him decades earlier.

Sid Shafner, 94, was one of the American soldiers who liberated thousands of prisoners from a Nazi concentration camp in 1945.

Earlier this month, he participated on an annual mission to Poland and Israel, “From Holocaust to Independence,” organized by Friends of the IDF.

Watch as he is reunited on an Israeli Air Force base with one of the men whom he had helped save.
