Reports have surfaced that the suspect in the Wisconsin Christmas parade tragedy had a history of posting antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Darrell Brooks Jr. of Milwaukee, is charged with running over people with his SUV at a Christmas parade in Waukesha County on Monday. Five people were killed and a sixth succumbed to injuries on Tuesday. More than 60 people, including 18 children, were injured.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the 39-year-old Brooks has a criminal history that includes two previous incidents in which he attempted to run over someone with a car. Reports also said he was registered sex offender in Nevada.

Brooks’ social media posts, which are now being scrutinized, show a history of Black supremacist views and support for the controversial Black Hebrew Israelite sect. According to the Anti-Defamation League, this sect espouses that “White people are agents of Satan, Jews are liars and false worshipers of God, and Blacks are the true ‘chosen people’ and are racially superior to other ethnicities.”

In one Facebook post, Brooks posted a quote attributed to Adolf Hitler claiming that the Jews dominated the United States, that “the negroes” are “the true Hebrews.” The alleged quote also claimed that “false White Jews” would be moved “into a state of Israel.”

In another Facebook post, Brooks urging people to knock “white ppl [the f**k] out.”

Brooks’ Facebook account has since been deactivated.

He also posted on other social media platforms under the alias MathBoi Fly.

In 2019, members of the Black Hebrew Israelites killed six people in a Jersey City shootout with police that began in a kosher market. According to investigators, the two gunmen, David Anderson and Francine Graham, had planned their attack on JC Kosher for months. Both were killed in the gun battle.

Israel’s Interior Ministry ordered the deportation of around 50 members of the sect who were found to be in Israel illegally in April. Due to legal appeals and the lack of air flights during the COVID pandemic, those Black Hebrew Israelites are still in Israel.
