El Global Financial Centers Index (GFCI), publicado el martes, clasificó a Tel Aviv entre las principales ciudades financieras del mundo, concretamente en el número 25 del mundo.

Tel Aviv superó a grandes ciudades como Abu Dhabi (28o clasificado), Pekín (29), Estocolmo (32), Río de Janeiro (35), Amsterdam (36), París (37) , Oslo (67), Moscú (78) y Madrid (79).

Hila Oren, directora de Tel Aviv Global, una empresa municipal dedicada a mejorar la imagen internacional de la ciudad ,dijo que el ranking «refleja los esfuerzos incansables de la municipalidad para posicionar a Tel Aviv como centro financiero mundial y la puerta de entrada al mercado israelí».
