En un episodio reciente de «Economía y la gente», el canal Al-Jazeera constantó la floreciente economía de Gaza . Las imágenes de centros comerciales, restaurantes y centros turísticos muestran una imagen muy diferente a la del sufrimiento y la plaga que la ONU quiere darnos a entender.

Los principales medios de comunicación pintan regularmente a la Franja de Gaza como un territorio azotado por la pobreza que se tambalea constantemente y que se encuentra al borde del colapso.

Sin embargo, cuando Al-Yazira publicó un documental sobre Gaza en un episodio reciente del programa «Economía y la gente», las imágenes de centros comerciales, restaurantes y centros turísticos dibujaban una imagen completamente distinta de Gaza.
