El imán somalí-estadounidense Ahmedul Hadi Sharif, quien dirige el Centro Islámico de Nashville, Tennessee, comenzó su sermón del viernes tratando de convencer a los feligreses de que los sionistas son los «terroristas número uno en el mundo».
El Imam Sharif utilizó esa acusación para justificar una oración que leyó suplicando a «Alá» que «inflija venganza sobre» los sionistas.
El imán pasó a describir los planes de «los sionistas» para destruir la «Kaaba» (literalmente, «el Cubo», un edificio en el centro de la mezquita más sagrada del Islam en La Meca, Arabia Saudí) si Israel logra controlar Jerusalem.
El imán no proporcionó ninguna evidencia para respaldar sus afirmaciones, pero el Centro parece tolerar las palabras del imán al publicar un vídeo del sermón en su canal de YouTube.
