La Universidad Hebrea de Israel y el Hospital Hadassah han anunciado el establecimiento del primer centro de Oriente Medio dedicado a la investigaci\u00f3n y los servicios de autismo.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

El Centro de Autismo reunir\u00e1 a \u00abla investigaci\u00f3n de vanguardia, servicios cl\u00ednicos, estado de la educaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica y educaci\u00f3n para profesionales y padres de la comunidad\u00bb, dijo un portavoz de la Universidad Hebrea. Los organizadores esperan que la investigaci\u00f3n conduzca a una mejor pr\u00e1ctica cl\u00ednica, la programaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica y pol\u00edticas de apoyo a aquellos que sufren de autismo.<\/p>\n

El trastorno del espectro autista (TEA) es un trastorno del desarrollo neurol\u00f3gico complejo que se produce en aproximadamente 1 de cada 68 ni\u00f1os. Es cinco veces m\u00e1s probable entre los chicos (1 en 42) que entre las ni\u00f1as (1 en 189).<\/p>\n

El Prof. David Lichtstein, decano de la facultad de medicina de la Universidad Hebrea, dijo que espera que la experiencia combinada en ambas instituciones que est\u00e1n detr\u00e1s de\u00a0la iniciativa \u00bb logren avances importantes en la investigaci\u00f3n, diagn\u00f3stico y en el tratamiento del autismo\u00bb.<\/p>\n
