A partir del primer d\u00eda de Shemin\u00ed ‘Atseret comenzamos a recitar en la Amid\u00e1 la oraci\u00f3n mashib haruaj umorid hagueshem.<\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n

En esta oraci\u00f3n expresamos nuestro reconocimiento que HaShem, el Creador, es quien \u00abhace que el viento sople, y que la lluvia descienda\u00bb sobre la tierra. Con estas palabras alabamos a HaShem por el milagroso sistema clim\u00e1tico, el cual entre otras cosas, produce la lluvia que tanto necesitamos.<\/p>\n

En esta oraci\u00f3n no estamos \u00abpidiendo\u00bb a Dios que nos env\u00ede la lluvia. S\u00f3lo estamos reconociendo Su poder e intervenci\u00f3n para producir la lluvia.<\/p>\n

La oraci\u00f3n en la que solicitamos la lluvia se llama barej ‘alenu y se dice m\u00e1s tarde. Pero \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 no pedimos lluvia ahora, cuando en la tierra de Israel est\u00e1 comenzando el oto\u00f1o, que es cuando m\u00e1s se espera y m\u00e1s se necesita la lluvia?<\/p>\n

La respuesta es muy simple. En el antiguo Israel los jud\u00edos llegaban a Yersuhalayim caminando desde lugares muy distantes para celebrar la fiestas de Sucot, Pesaj y Shabu’ot. Una vez finalizado Shemin\u00ed Atseret (o sea anteayer) los viajeros regresaban a sus casas a pie. Las ciudades m\u00e1s lejanas de donde llegaban estos Yehudim estaban cerca del r\u00edo Eufrates (entre Siria e Irak) y los Jajamim calcularon que se necesitaban dos semanas para caminar desde Jerusalem de regreso a esas tierras. Los rabinos no vieron con buenos ojos que un jud\u00edo en Israel est\u00e9 rezando a Dios por la lluvia, mientras que algunos de sus hermanos todav\u00eda estaban caminando de vuelta a sus casas, y para ellos la lluvia no iba a ser una bendici\u00f3n sino un problema. Los rabinos establecieron entonces que la oraci\u00f3n por la lluvia se dijera 2 semanas despu\u00e9s de Sucot, cuando todos los viajeros ya deber\u00edan estar de regreso en sus casas, sanos y salvos.
\nPor eso, en Erets Israel, incluso en nuestros d\u00edas, se comienza la oraci\u00f3n por la lluvia barej ‘alenu, a partir del 7 de Jeshv\u00e1n, exactamente dos semanas despu\u00e9s de finalizado Sucot (o Shemin\u00ed Atseret). Como ya lo explicaremos, en la di\u00e1spora esta beraj\u00e1 se recita a principios del mes de Diciembre.<\/p>\n

Esto nos ense\u00f1a una gran lecci\u00f3n que va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la Tefil\u00e1 por la lluvia: a veces podemos rezarle a Dios pidi\u00e9ndole algo que es bueno para nosotros pero malo para otras personas. Como en el caso de la lluvia, que antes del 7 de Jeshv\u00e1n era buena para los campesinos pero mala para los viajeros. Esta es una de las razones por las cuales los Yehudim siempre rezamos en plural. Por ejemplo: en la oraci\u00f3n donde le pedimos a HaShem por nuestro sustento (parnas\u00e1) no decimos: \u00abconc\u00e9deme a M\u00cd Tu bendici\u00f3n\u00bb sino que decimos \u00abconc\u00e9deNOS Tu bendici\u00f3n\u00bb, incluyendo a todos los dem\u00e1s. Esto significa que le estoy pidiendo a HaShem que me otorgue a m\u00ed, y quiz\u00e1s simult\u00e1neamente a mi competidor –al comerciante que vende la misma mercanc\u00eda que yo, y a los mismos clientes que yo les vendo– las mismas bendiciones!<\/p>\n

L\u00f3gicamente, uno podr\u00eda pensar que si HaShem le concede sus deseos a mi vecino\/competidor, eso va a afectar mi propia bendici\u00f3n. Este es el pensamiento negativo que debemos evitar. Pensar que para que yo pueda ganar, alguien necesariamente tiene que perder… Nuestros Sabios nos ense\u00f1an que la bendici\u00f3n de HaShem alcanza para que todos ganen y nadie pierda, ya que es infinita. As\u00ed, orar en plural nos entrena a superar nuestro ego\u00edsmo, y refuerza nuestra sensibilidad hacia los dem\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

Curiosamente en marketing moderno se habla del pensamiento positivo \u00abwin\/win\u00bb (donde todas las partes ganan) como el ideal en el mundo comercial. Y se considera como algo del pasado el modelo d pensar \u00abwin\/lose\u00bb, que para que uno gane, alguien tiene que salir perdiendo.<\/p>\n
