El primer ministro, Biniam\u00edn Netanyahu, asegur\u00f3 que su gobierno estudia f\u00f3rmulas para proporcionar ayuda m\u00e9dica a las v\u00edctimas civiles sirias, en especial a los cientos que han sufrido en los \u00faltimos d\u00edas la violencia en la ciudad de Alepo.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cVemos la tragedia, el terrible sufrimiento de civiles y he pedido al Ministerio de Exteriores (del cual tambi\u00e9n es titular) que busque formas de expandir nuestra asistencia m\u00e9dica a las v\u00edctimas civiles de la tragedia siria, espec\u00edficamente en Alepo\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 durante su tradicional encuentro anual con los corresponsales extranjeros acreditados en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

\u201cEstamos preparados a recibir heridos, mujeres, ni\u00f1os y tambi\u00e9n hombres si no son combatientes. Nos gustar\u00eda hacer eso, traerles a Israel y cuidarlos en nuestros hospitales\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3.<\/p>\n

En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, Israel ha atendido a cientos de civiles y rebeldes sirios que han cruzado la frontera y entrado en su territorio.<\/p>\n

Son recogidos por personal militar que bien les proporciona ayuda m\u00e9dica in situ o, en los casos m\u00e1s graves, les traslada al Centro M\u00e9dico Ziv, en la ciudad de Safed (Tzfat), en el norte del pa\u00eds, y son devueltos a territorio sirio tras su curaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Israel ha evitado inmiscuirse en la guerra en el pa\u00eds vecino, del que es enemigo.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu, al tiempo que ofrec\u00eda ayuda para los sirios afectados, aseguraba que no permitir\u00e1 que el conflicto afecte a Israel.<\/p>\n

Respondiendo a preguntas de los periodistas, el primer ministro hizo referencia a los asentamientos de Cisjordania y asegur\u00f3 que \u201cel que jud\u00edos vivan en Judea y Samaria (nombres b\u00edblicos para esa regi\u00f3n) no es un asunto principal\u201d del conflicto.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que ha pedido \u201ccientos de veces p\u00fablicamente\u201d y \u201ccientos de veces\u201d en privado al presidente palestino, Mahmud Abb\u00e1s, que regrese a la mesa de negociaci\u00f3n y critic\u00f3 que siga neg\u00e1ndose a hacerlo.<\/p>\n

A su entender, esto responde a una estrategia de los palestinos de buscar una soluci\u00f3n impuesta desde la comunidad internacional y no lograda a trav\u00e9s de negociaciones bilaterales.<\/p>\n

Cuestionado por sus constantes ataques en su p\u00e1gina de Facebook a periodistas cr\u00edticos con \u00e9l, asegur\u00f3 que hacerlo es \u201cdivertido\u201d y defendi\u00f3 que igual que los reporteros tienen libertad de expresi\u00f3n los dem\u00e1s tambi\u00e9n han de tenerla para contestarles.<\/p>\n
