Una enorme explosi\u00f3n sacudi\u00f3 la ciudad de Jallayn, en la provincia siria de Daraa, en el sur de Siria, provocando la muerte de una decena de jihadistas, entre ellos la plana mayor del Ej\u00e9rcito de Khalid ibn Walid, un grupo extremista que jur\u00f3 fidelidad al Estado Isl\u00e1mico, en 2014, y que controla la zona.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Aparentemente, los comandantes del grupo jihadista se hab\u00eda reunido, en esa urbe que dominan, para discutir sobre los combates en la provincia de Daraa.<\/p>\n

De acuerdo con el Observatorio Sirio de Derechos Humanos, una organizaci\u00f3n con sede en Londres pero con numerosos activistas en el terreno, la explosi\u00f3n fue provocada por un ataque a\u00e9reo, pero no se ha aclarado si se trat\u00f3 de aeronaves de la coalici\u00f3n liderada por Estados Unidos o de la aviaci\u00f3n rusa o de la Fuerza A\u00e9rea nacional siria. Otros reportes indican que un coche bomba habr\u00eda desbaratado abruptamente la reuni\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Entre los muertos se encuentra el comandante en jefe del Jaish de Khalid ibn Walid (Ej\u00e9rcito de Khalid ibn Walid), Abu Hashem al Rafaei, y otros cinco comandantes de campo.<\/p>\n

Tras el suceso, el grupo design\u00f3 a un nuevo l\u00edder.<\/p>\n

A partir de una sorpresiva ofensiva, a principios de este a\u00f1o, el Ej\u00e9rcito de Khalid ibn Walid se hizo con el control de un total de cerca de 25 aldeas y ciudades, emplazadas sobre la frontera con Israel y Jordania, en el suroeste de Siria.<\/p>\n

El grupo jihadista combate frecuentemente a otras facciones rebeldes sunitas y es conocido por aplicar brutalmente la ley isl\u00e1mica sobre los civiles que viven bajo su dominio.<\/p>\n
