\u00a0En una conferencia en Jerusalem ante 140 periodistas extranjeros en la segunda Cumbre anual de Medios Cristianos, el primer ministro israel\u00ed, Benjam\u00edn Netanyahu, critic\u00f3 duramente al presidente palestino, Mahmoud Abbas, y afirm\u00f3 que \u201csin Israel, el islam radical invadir\u00eda Medio Oriente\u201d.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMire a nuestros vecinos. Mire lo que est\u00e1 haciendo el presidente Abbas. Est\u00e1 recompensando a los terroristas. Paga por matar. Mientras m\u00e1s matan, m\u00e1s se les paga. Tiene en sus libros de leyes una regla, una ley que dice eso. Si vende tierras a los jud\u00edos, ser\u00e1 ejecutado\u201d, expres\u00f3 el primer ministro.<\/p>\n

\u201cIsrael es el \u00fanico pa\u00eds en Medio Oriente donde la comunidad cristiana prospera y crece. Sin Israel, el islam radical invadir\u00eda f\u00e1cilmente Medio Oriente, Israel no s\u00f3lo se protege a s\u00ed mismo, sino que tambi\u00e9n protege el vecindario\u201d, agreg\u00f3.<\/p>\n

En referencia al traslado de la embajada de Estados Unidos a Jerusalem, Netanyahu destac\u00f3: \u201cLa embajada estadounidense est\u00e1 a poca distancia a pie y es el resultado de una decisi\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica del presidente Donald Trump de reconocer a Jerusalem como la capital de Israel y mover la Embajada de los Estados Unidos aqu\u00ed. Creo que merece un tremendo aplauso por un tremendo acto. El presidente Trump corrigi\u00f3 un error hist\u00f3rico. Me refiero a que la idea de que no estamos apegados a Jerusal\u00e9n es un fiasco incre\u00edble que se ve en las instituciones de la ONU y las resoluciones de la UNESCO\u201d.<\/p>\n

En cuanto a Ir\u00e1n, Netanyahu consider\u00f3 que los iran\u00edes quieren establecerse \u201cjusto al lado de Israel para destruir a Israel\u201d. \u201cLo dicen abiertamente. No los dejaremos hacerlo. Respaldamos estas palabras con acciones. Continuaremos haciendo lo que debemos hacer para protegernos y defendernos contra aquellos que nos destruir\u00edan\u201d, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n
