Los abogados proisrael\u00edes persuaden a PayPal para que proh\u00edba una organizaci\u00f3n ben\u00e9fica del Reino Unido que abus\u00f3 de sus fondos para promover el terrorismo y el antisemitismo.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

PayPal ha dejado de prestar servicios a la organizaci\u00f3n ben\u00e9fica War on Want, con sede en el Reino Unido, que ha demostrado tener serios v\u00ednculos con la<\/span>\u00a0organizaci\u00f3n terrorista Frente Popular para la Liberaci\u00f3n de Palestina<\/a> (FPLP).<\/span><\/p>\n

Las acciones de PayPal fueron motivadas por una queja presentada por UK Lawyers for Israel (UKLFI) que notific\u00f3 a PayPal que War on Want parece tener v\u00ednculos cercanos con una organizaci\u00f3n terrorista.<\/span><\/p>\n

Estos enlaces fueron expuestos recientemente por UKLFI y The Lawfare Project en una queja presentada conjuntamente a la Comisi\u00f3n de Caridad para Inglaterra y Gales, solicit\u00e1ndole que tome medidas para garantizar la correcta administraci\u00f3n de la organizaci\u00f3n y que su conducta se limite a actividades para el beneficio p\u00fablico.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

El PFLP fue designado como una organizaci\u00f3n terrorista por el Reino Unido, los Estados Unidos, la Uni\u00f3n Europea, Canad\u00e1, Israel y otros pa\u00edses.<\/span><\/p>\n

M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los v\u00ednculos de War on Want con el PFLP, la queja a la Comisi\u00f3n de la Caridad tambi\u00e9n afirma que la organizaci\u00f3n promueve narrativas deshonestas y con frecuencia antisemitas sobre Israel y hace un uso indebido de fondos caritativos para difundir propaganda pol\u00edtica.<\/span><\/p>\n

El trabajo de War on Want involucra campa\u00f1as pol\u00edticas con poca o ninguna conexi\u00f3n con la pobreza global, seg\u00fan la queja. De sus ingresos anuales de aproximadamente $ 2.4 millones en el a\u00f1o fiscal que finaliz\u00f3 el 31 de marzo de 2017, se gastaron $ 677,008 en \u201crecaudar fondos\u201d y $ 713,800 en \u201ccampa\u00f1as y pol\u00edticas\u201d. En un art\u00edculo la semana pasada, el Director Ejecutivo de Lawfare Project, Brooke Goldstein, y el Director Ejecutivo de UKLFI, Jonathan Turner, pidieron a la Comisi\u00f3n de Caridad que \u00abfinalmente retenga a las organizaciones ben\u00e9ficas que dicen brindar ayuda, al tiempo que ayuda e incita a grupos terroristas afiliados y antisemitas\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

Las dos organizaciones pro-israel\u00edes <\/span>presentaron<\/span><\/a> en junio\u00a0 una queja similar<\/a> \u00a0contra la organizaci\u00f3n Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), que tiene un historial de promoci\u00f3n del antisemitismo y est\u00e1 igualmente relacionada con el PFLP.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/a>
