El cabecilla de Ham\u00e1s en Gaza, Yhya Sinwar, asever\u00f3 que el grupo terrorista exhibi\u00f3 solo la mitad de su fuerza durante la reciente conflagraci\u00f3n de 11 d\u00edas, en el mes de mayo, contra Israel, y refut\u00f3 las afirmaciones de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI) de que gran parte de la ciudad subterr\u00e1nea o el \u201cMetro\u201d, la red de t\u00faneles de la organizaci\u00f3n, ha sido destruida.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDios ha decretado que debemos atacar Tel Aviv, y hay otras capacidades que a\u00fan no hemos revelado\u201d, afirm\u00f3 el l\u00edder del grupo islamista que controla con pu\u00f1o de hierro el enclave costero.<\/p>\n

Sinwar asegur\u00f3 que Israel destruy\u00f3 solamente el 3 por ciento de los t\u00faneles de Gaza en la reciente batalla y que su grupo tiene capacidad como para \u201cdestruir Tel Aviv\u201d.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n critic\u00f3 a los pa\u00edses \u00e1rabes que el a\u00f1o pasado firmaron acuerdos de normalizaci\u00f3n con Israel (Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos, Bahr\u00e9in, Sud\u00e1n y Marruecos), argumentando que ellos condujeron a lo que Sinwar describi\u00f3 como la agresi\u00f3n israel\u00ed.<\/p>\n

El jefe de Ham\u00e1s asever\u00f3 que cualquier futuro combate \u201calterar\u00e1\u201d la regi\u00f3n y reiter\u00f3 a la necesidad de \u201cdefender\u201d Jerusal\u00e9n.<\/p>\n

\u201cCada palestino defender\u00e1 nuestra permanencia en Jerusal\u00e9n y en Sheikh Jarrah\u201d, manifest\u00f3 Sinwar. \u201cSi se desata nuevamente el conflicto, el Oriente Medio cambiar\u00e1. Hemos demostrado que hay quienes defienden la Mezquita de Al Aqsa\u201d.<\/p>\n

La mayor\u00eda de los cohetes lanzados contra Tel Aviv fueron derribados por la bater\u00eda antimisiles C\u00fapula de Hierro. Un total de trece personas (doce civiles [incluyendo una mujer de la India y tres tailandeses]) murieron del lado israel\u00ed por los proyectiles. Dos israel\u00edes fueron asesinados por los cohetes en Rishon Letz\u00edon y uno en Ramat Gan, en las afueras de Tel Aviv. Los palestinos lanzaron alrededor de 4.360 cohetes y obuses de mortero contra el sur y centro del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n
