Israel comprar\u00e1 cuatro aviones cisterna de reabastecimiento de combustible Boeing Co. KC-46A en un acuerdo por valor de 927,5 millones de d\u00f3lares a medida que el pa\u00eds aumenta su preparaci\u00f3n militar contra la amenaza nuclear iran\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Se espera que las primeras entregas de la aeronave, que reemplazar\u00e1 a la envejecida flota de aviones cisterna Re’em Boeing 707 de Israel, se realicen en 2025. Los petroleros son parte de un esfuerzo de adquisici\u00f3n realizado por el Ministerio de Defensa junto con las FDI en los \u00faltimos dos a\u00f1os para fortalecer las capacidades del ej\u00e9rcito, la acumulaci\u00f3n de fuerzas y la preparaci\u00f3n para enfrentar amenazas existentes y futuras, particularmente de Ir\u00e1n.<\/span><\/p>\n

Durante una llamada el mi\u00e9rcoles sobre las conversaciones indirectas del acuerdo nuclear con Ir\u00e1n, el presidente Joe Biden <\/span>asegur\u00f3<\/span><\/a> al primer ministro de Israel, Yair Lapid, el compromiso de Estados Unidos con la seguridad de Israel y \u201cpara preservar la capacidad de Israel para disuadir a sus enemigos y defenderse por s\u00ed mismo contra cualquier amenaza\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

A fines del a\u00f1o pasado, EE. UU. e Israel <\/span>firmaron<\/span><\/a> un acuerdo de defensa de 3 mil millones de d\u00f3lares para el suministro de 12 helic\u00f3pteros Lockheed Martin-Sikorsky para reemplazar los helic\u00f3pteros Yasur y dos aviones de reabastecimiento de combustible Boeing KC-46.<\/span><\/p>\n
