Emeutes sur le Mont du Temple: la présence juive a déplu aux musulmans

Les Arabes musulmans ont réagi violemment à la présence juive sur le mont du Temple, le lieu le plus sacré du judaïsme, à Ticha Be Av, jour où le peuple juif commémore la destruction du Temple sacré.

Tisha b’Av, le jour du calendrier hébreu où les juifs commémorent la destruction des premier et deuxième temples sacrés de Jérusalem, est tombé cette année dimanche. Près de 2000 juifs sont montés sur le mont du Temple à cette occasion.

La police a d’abord interdit aux Juifs de s’y rendre, craignant la violence arabe. Le site est le plus saint pour les juifs et le troisième le plus sacré pour les musulmans.

En dépit de la violence attendue, la police a annulé la décision et a permis aux juifs d’entrer. Ils ont alors dû faire face à la colère de milliers d’émeutiers.
