VIDEO: Ireland Loves Israel!

Ireland is a country that traditionally has the reputation of being anti-Israel. An official in the Israeli Foreign Ministry described Ireland as “the most anti-Israel member of the European Union.” It took Ireland 45-years to allow the UN recognized State of Israel to open an embassy in Dublin, yet the Palestinian delegation to Ireland already has a mission there even before the UN has recognized Palestine as a state.

However, contrary to popular perceptions, there are Irish people who are very supportive of Israel. As Irishman Steve Mailin proclaimed, “Israel is an example for the rest of the world, and I think all Israelis are brilliant people … I will die for Israel, if needed, not a problem. The only place that I can put close to my heart would be Israel, because it is oppressed.”
