A Palestinian terrorist used a screwdriver to stab an IDF soldier in the center of Tel Aviv Monday evening. The victim was injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. The terrorist was apprehended.

The victim, 19, sustained light wounds to his upper body and was taken to Ichilov hospital for treatment.

The terrorist, a 17-year-old resident of the Judea and Samaria area, fled the scene of the attack and was chased and caught by civilians who found him in nearby residential building. They held him until the police arrived and arrested him.

The attack was reportedly carried out with a screwdriver, and eyewitnesses say the terrorist shouted “Allah Akbar” [“God is great” in Arabic] during the attack, a phrase frequently shouted by Muslim terrorists during attacks.

This incident was the latest in a long series of Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of more than seven months, claiming the lives of 33 victims and wounding over 450.

In related news, IDF forces arrested 10 wanted terror suspects in overnight operation late Monday night in the Judea and Samaria area, according to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

The suspects were wanted in connection to terrorist activities and for perpetuating violence and riots in the area and were taken into custody for further questioning.
