Demi Lovato, the two-time Grammy nominee, was spotted at the Westen Wall in Jerusalem this past Thursday. According to the Jerusalem Post, Lovato was in Israel on vacation with her mother.

Back in 2012, Lovato posted on her now-inactive Twitter account that she is “part Jewish,” a claim that she had reiterated during a KISS FM radio interview.

“I did some research a couple of years ago … for some reason I always thought I was Italian. I’m not,” the pop singer said. “I’m Native American, predominantly Hispanic on that side — which I did know that — I’m Irish on my mom’s side, but back on my dad, a little Portuguese, and a little Jewish.”

Many Hollywood A-listers have recently been seen at the Western Wall.

For instance, Jennifer Lopez, one of the biggest pop stars in the world, was spotted at the Western Wall the day after her ”It’s My Party” concert in Tel Aviv.

Oscar-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld also visited Israel for the first time with her parents at the beginning of August. In addition to the Western Wall, the actress toured the City of David, Yad Vashem, and the Shalva National Children’s Center.

Sarah Jessica Parker, famous for her role as Carrie Bradshaw, was also seen praying at the revered site back in June.

The Western Wall is the only remnant left standing from the second Jewish temple. Thousands of people, regardless of faith,  journey to the holy site every year to recite prayers.
