Hezbollah Israel

After the 2006 war, Israel relinquished hard-won territory in southern Lebanon that kept Hezbollah off its border in exchange for a promise that was never kept.

On July 12, 2006, Hezbollah terrorists began a war with Israel, firing rockets at Israeli border towns, ambushing Israeli jeeps, taking hostages and raining deadly missiles on Israeli families for the next 34 days.

After Iran’s proxy army Hezbollah killed 165 Israelis, thousands of forces finally reached deep into southern Lebanon, providing Israel with a buffer zone to prevent rocket launches against the Jewish state.

At that moment, the UN pressured Israel to agree to withdraw its troops from the territory and to rely on UN forces to keep Hezbollah arms out of the area.

Israel kept its end of the bargain. Did the UN and Hezbollah keep theirs?
