Miriam Peretz, the mother of 2 fallen IDF soldiers, has not lost her spirit or her idealism.

Not everyone is capable of being an emissary for Israel, she says, but those who do accept the challenge are shlichim (emissaries) not of Medinat Yisrael – the State of Israel – but of God, and they can change the world.

To be a shaliach is a huge privilege, a zechut.

“We pay so much for our existence in this land,” she continues, but “we understand why we are here, why we fight and why we die.”
