Hatikvah

The video showed images of Israeli soldiers crying and praying, of graves of Israeli soldiers, and of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.

The Israeli national anthem, Hatikvah – Hebrew for “The Hope,” refers to the 2,000-year-old dream of the Jewish People to return to the Land of Israel.

It’s a powerful song that fills Jews around the world with deep emotion and pride.

However, a parody of the song, recently posted by Iranian TV, tramples on the beauty of the song and mocks the Jewish people.

The video showed images of Israeli soldiers crying and praying, of graves of Israeli soldiers, and of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.

The words that replace the moving original lyrics are full of hate and threats to destroy the Jewish state.
