As Israel joins the world in celebrating World Cities Day, take a look at Israel’s massive urban wonders, all achieved in less than 70 years.

The United Nations designated October 31st as World Cities Day to promote the international community’s interest in global urbanization, to push forward cooperation among countries in meeting opportunities and addressing challenges of urbanization, and to contribute to sustainable urban development around the world.

In less than 70 years of existence, Israel has taken a desert and transformed it into a country with over 75 cities, some of which rank as the world’s most successful.
