Beijing Chief Rabbi recognizes medical staff in Israel and the world over, Jews and non-Jews, for putting their lives on the line to save others, and gives important safety tips.

In a pre-Shabbat video on Friday, Rabbi Shimon Freundlich, Chief Rabbi of Beijing, adamantly warns religious Jews against participating in minyanim – prayer quorums – during the COVID-19 pandemic, among other important advice to help people stay safe and healthy.

The virus doesn’t differentiate between religious and non-religious, Jew and non-Jew, he says, urging viewers to “learn from the virus” and show courtesy to others and special appreciation to health care workers around the world.
