The three famous IDF paratroopers who liberated the Old City of Jerusalem in 1967 describe the profound experience half a century later.

During the 1967 Six Day War, three IDF paratroopers were photographed as they liberated the Old City of Jerusalem. They were the first Jews to pray at the Western Wall for the first time since 1948.

The photo, taken by legendary Israeli photographer David Rubinger, became famous worldwide, capturing their sense of awe at the miraculous, historic event.
