Shame on Amazon for selling a film that spreads far and wide the antisemitic conspiracies of the Black Hebrew Israelite sect.

In the last month, antisemitism has made more headway into mainstream culture with Kanye West’s antisemitic rants flooding the internet.

More recently, basketball star Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets faced a full court press over his promotion of a film featuring the views of the antisemitic sect.

On October 27, the NBA star tweeted a link to a 2018 documentary called “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America,” which “includes Holocaust denial and quotes attributed to Adolf Hitler and Henry Ford and claims that Jews worship Satan and controlled the Atlantic slave trade and currently control the media,” Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) reported.

“The documentary, which is based on a book series, promotes the notorious antisemitic conspiracy theory peddled by Black extremists and supremacists that ‘white Jews’ are imposters who hijacked their heritage,” added the JNS report.

It also cites the antisemitic forgery “The Protocols of the Elders of Ziyon” to assert that Jews control the banking industry.

Rolling Stone magazine described the more than three-hour video as “in line with more extreme factions of the Black Hebrew Israelites, which have a long history of misogyny, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and especially antisemitism.”

The book is currently the number one best seller in three categories on Amazon: “Religious Intolerance & Persecution,” “Black & African American Biographies,” and “People of African Descent & Black Studies.”

As of Tuesday, Amazon was still selling the movie based on these books.

According to Arsen Ostrovsky, CEO of the Tel Aviv-based International Legal Forum (ILF), “So far, Amazon has not responded. But if they are serious about being a responsible voice in the community and rooting out hateful conduct from their platform, they must take immediate action and remove this film and book immediately. Amazon says they have a strict policy prohibiting ‘hateful conduct.’ Instead they are profiteering from Holocaust distortion and Jew-hatred,” JNS reported.

“It is inexcusable that, with anti-Semitism and violence against Jews exploding across the United States, Amazon would provide a platform to such a hate-filled film, only pouring more fuel on the fire. This is not a matter of free speech, but rather promoting hate speech and incitement to violence,” Ostrovsky continued.

With the increasing rise in antisemitism in America and around the world, why is Amazon selling Jew hatred on its platform?
