Amnesty is urging international travel and tourism companies to boycott Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria. We must not let them succeed!

Amnesty International is calling on digital tourism companies to stop doing business in Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria. Four companies are singled out: Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor.

The document is written with a politically aggressive tone, charging that while “all four companies claim to operate under high ethical values and respect for the rule of law, in doing business with [Israeli] settlements, all four companies are contributing to, and profiting from, the maintenance, development, and expansion of illegal settlements, which amount to war crimes under international criminal law.”

Amnesty also launched a Twitter campaign against TripAdvisor with a post and video mocking the company’s operations in Judea and Samaria. ”Hey, TripAdvisor, we’ve made a more suitable promo video to advertise your properties, activities, attractions in illegal Israeli settlements. Check it out,” the video begins.

Airbnb already decided in November to remove 200 Jewish-owned listings in Judea and Samaria from its apartment rental site. That decision has led to multiple lawsuits over discrimination, calls for a boycott against the company by U.S. cities, and criticism from Vice President Mike Pence.

Amnesty has come under fire in the past for a consistent anti-Israel bias and is facing criticism again for its latest call.

Israel’s Public Security and Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan condemned Amnesty’s current campaign as “an outrageous attempt to distort facts, deny Jewish heritage & delegitimize Israel,” saying that he will “examine the possibility of preventing the entry and stay of Amnesty in Israel.”

Gerald Steinberg, founder and president of NGO Monitor, said, “Precisely because tourism to Israel is at an all-time high, Amnesty International is targeting this sector.”

“No force in the world will change the simple historical truth – the Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel,” Tourism Minister Yariv Levin stated. “We will fight this despicable anti-Semitic decision, and we will not allow anyone to boycott Israel or parts of it.”

Amnesty’s bullying tactics against Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor must not succeed. Let’s thank these companies for doing business with Jews and Arabs alike and encourage them not to cave in to Amnesty’s aggressive campaign targeting Jews who reside in their ancient homeland.
