Masar Badil, a U.S.-sanctioned front group for the PFLP, confirmed on Sept. 6 that the conference strengthening “resistance” would take place in Toronto.

Masar Badil (the Alternative Palestinian Revolutionary Path Movement), a group with ties to Canadian-listed terrorist entities, is convening an event titled “3 Years of Al-Aqsa Flood: Resistance & Return From the Belly of the Beast,” scheduled to bring together “militants, organizations, diasporas, and internationalists” in Toronto in November 2026.

“The Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, Masar Badil, invites all Palestinians, Arabs, and internationalists living across North America on occupied Turtle Island to convene in Toronto/Tkaronto this November 2026 for an essential assembly entitled “3 Years of Al-Aqsa Flood: Resistance & Return From the Belly of the Beast,” the Islamist group announced earlier this year on its website.

The event, a celebration of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas massacre in southern Israel, “will be a historic convening to situate ourselves in this struggle and continue to resist with more strength and determination than ever before,” Masar Badil vowed.

More recently, on Sept. 6, the group confirmed that it was proceeding with the conference.

Masar Badil, a front group for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) is also anti-Canadian, which is another reason for the Canadian authorities to ban the event. Masar Badil treats the United States and Canada as “imperialist” enemies to be dismantled alongside Israel. As noted by NGO Monitor, the name Tkaronto is derived from the original Mohawk word tkarón, the Indigenous name for the region.

According to HonestReporting, Masar Badil continues to maintain a network of organizations in the US operating under different names although it was sanctioned by the US for being part of the same political project as Samidoun, another terrorist shell group.

The U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned Masar Badil and executive committee members Zaid Abdulnasser and Rawa Alsagheer over what the Treasury Department described as the organization’s links to the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, the watchdog reported.

The United States and Canada sanctioned Samidoun in October 2024. The U.S. Treasury Department said Samidoun was “owned, controlled, or directed” by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which the United States has designated a foreign terrorist organization.

“The organizations share fundraising mechanisms as well as senior leaders and members of their respective executive committees,” the U.S. Treasury Department said in a statement.

We cannot allow this to happen! Urge the Canadian authorities to remove this danger – before it’s too late!

In celebration of three years since the “Al-Aqsa Flood,” a reference to the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in southern Israel, Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, has announced a pro-terror event in Canada’s largest city.

As publicized on the group’s website, resistandreturn.org, “The Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, Masar Badil, invites all Palestinians, Arabs, and internationalists living across North America on occupied Turtle Island to convene in Toronto/Tkaronto this November 2026 for an essential assembly entitled ‘3 Years of Al-Aqsa Flood: Resistance & Return From the Belly of the Beast.’”

According to the announcement, “2026 marks three years since one of the most courageous acts of resistance in our lifetimes: Al-Aqsa Flood Battle. This is the time for us in the Global North—particularly in occupied Turtle Island, the home of American and Canadian imperialism—to have a serious reckoning with this glorious feat which took the theoretical notion of liberation and made it concrete.”

On Sept. 6, the group confirmed that it was proceeding with the conference.

I am calling on Canadian authorities to immediately investigate Masar Badil and take all lawful measures necessary to prevent extremist incitement, material support, and threats to public safety.

Masar Badil poses a danger to Canadians. It considers the United States and Canada to be “imperialist” enemies to be dismantled alongside Israel.

The federal government, together with local law enforcement and national security agencies, must ensure that Canadian spaces are not used by extremist movements to organize, fundraise, recruit, or promote violence under the guise of political activism.

I urge you to take this threat very seriously.

Sincerely,
