After posting an innocent comment on Facebook last year in reaction to Hamas’s terror activities in Gaza, Connecticut College Professor Andrew Pessin is being attacked by anti-Semitic, anti-Israel activists in a vicious campaign. Help support him today by signing the petition.
Andrew Pessin is a philosophy professor at Connecticut College who became the target of an anti-Semitic campaign by anti-Israel activists. A former student of Pessin’s, Lamiya Khandaker, sent him an email in February complaining about a Facebook post from the previous August in which he used the metaphor of a rabid pit bull to describe Hamas in Gaza. Khandaker, a Bangladeshi anti-Israel activist and founder of her former high school’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, misinterpreting the post, decided it was racist and has since launched a campaign against Pessin even though he apologized and removed the post.
A petition has been launched on change.org in support of Pessin and its goal is to reach 2,500 signatures. As of this writing, there are 1,191 supporters.
