“We’re not going to chase the Palestinian leadership,” Kushner said. “Their credibility is just really falling to an all-time low.”

Senior Trump adviser Jared Kushner commented Monday that the world community’s ability to trust the Palestinian leadership is in serious question.
“We’re not going to chase the Palestinian leadership,” Kushner said, reported The Associated Press. “Their credibility is just really falling to an all time low, and even people who want to help the Palestinians, those people are just saying that you can’t help people who don’t want to help themselves.”
Kushner made the remarks during a conference call related to the historic U.S.-brokered peace agreement establishing official diplomatic relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
The comments reflected rising sentiment in the Middle East that the Palestinian leadership’s consistent rejectionism is sabotaging economic, political, and educational opportunities for Arabs living in Judea and Samaria and the Gaza Strip.
According to Kushner, major stakeholders are “block[ing] out the noise” from Palestinian officials, whose message is “just so predictable and illogical,” AP reported.
Kushner referred to the Palestinian Authority’s rejection of a peace proposal worth $50 billion dollars and other economic incentives, in addition to the promise of an “independent Palestinian state,” an entity that has never existed.
In saying “no” to a plan that offered the Palestinians “most of what they’ve ever wanted,” Kushner expressed doubts about the Palestinian leadership’s ability to do what is best and right for their own people.
With the announcement of the impending peace agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented that the era of land-for-peace deals, under which the Jewish state sacrifices territory, had come to an end.
