Michla Schanowitz of Chabad’s Central Avenue Synagogue discusses the shooting and how the synagogue helped during the terrible attack.

The horrific shooting attack that took place in Highland Park in Chicago has rocked the world and in particular the Jewish community. Highland Park is home to a large Jewish population and the attack took place near the neighborhood’s Chabad Synagogue.

In fact, the synagogue became a safe haven for people running from the attack and seeking shelter.
