Ahead of next week’s UNESCO vote to declare Hebron a Palestinian World Heritage site, Israeli Deputy FM Hotovely urged foreign ambassadors to defend the truth.

Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely told foreign ambassadors that it is their duty to defend the truth against Palestinian lies and distortions.

Reviewing the 4000-year-old Jewish ties to Hebron and, in particular, the Cave of the Patriarchs, Hotovely urged the diplomats to maintain the integrity of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) by refusing to become a political tool for those who wish to erase Jewish history.

The Palestinian Authority (PA), in its latest diplomatic attack on the Jewish state, is requesting that UNESCO, at its Committee meeting on July 2, recognize the ancient Jewish city of Hebron as a Palestinian World Heritage site.

In this video, Hotovely urges the envoys to vote for the truth.
