Thanks to researchers at Israel’s Hebrew University, a new diagnostic tool, enables earlier detection of Parkinson’s disease along with better tracking of the disease’s progression and the patient’s response to therapy.

Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that mainly affects the motor system, with symptoms such as shaking, rigidity, slowness of movement, and difficulty with walking emerging over time.

The disease affects millions each year and results and many deaths.
