Security forces eliminated a teenage Palestinian terrorist in Hebron who attacked an IDF soldier and seriously wounded an Arab bystander.

A knife-wielding 17-year-old Palestinian girl attacked an Israeli soldier in Hebron, near the Tomb of the Patriarchs, and an Arab bystander before she was shot and killed by Israeli troops, the military said.

The soldier was lightly wounded. A Palestinian who intervened to try to stop the attacker was stabbed and more seriously wounded. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, the IDF said.

Hebron has been a focal point of incitement and violence over the past five months, during which Palestinians have carried out near-daily attacks, mainly stabbings. Recently, terror victim Ginady Kaufman died of his wounds; he was stabbed near the Tomb of the Patriarchs in December.
