Security forces shot dead a Palestinian female terrorist who pulled out a knife at a checkpoint in Samaria. A suicide note claiming “full mental capacity” was found in her possession.

Palestinian terrorist Rasha Awissi, 23, of Qalqilya, was shot dead by Israeli security after attempting to carry out a stabbing attack in Samaria Monday morning. She had a suicide note in her possession.

The incident occurred at a checkpoint near the Jewish community of Alfei Menashe – in approximately the same area in Samaria where a 48-year-old Israeli man was stabbed and wounded on Sunday afternoon.

Awissi walked to the checkpoint, ignored a warning shot fired by a guard and pulled out a knife, at which point security shot and killed her, the Defense Ministry stated.

“I’m ending my path, and I’m reaching this end with my full mental capacity, in defense of my homeland and the young [Palestinian] men and women,” Awissi wrote in the suicide note, asking her family to “please forgive me.”

Stabbings and car rammings have become the most common types of attacks in the recent wave of Palestinian terror throughout the country.
