The IDF eliminated four Hamas terrorists in a series of strikes across the Gaza Strip in recent days, including a Nukhba terrorist and another terrorist who participated in the Oct. 7 massacre, the military announced Saturday.
According to the IDF, the terrorists had recently been working to advance attacks against Israeli troops and civilians while attempting to rebuild Hamas’ military capabilities in the Gaza Strip, in what the military described as systematic violations of the ceasefire.
On Thursday, the IDF eliminated Mahmoud Khaled Mohammed Madhoun, a Nukhba terrorist in Hamas’ military wing. Throughout the war, Madhoun participated in fighting against Israeli forces and was involved in firing anti-tank missiles at IDF troops.
On Friday, Israeli forces eliminated two additional Hamas terrorists. Obeida Suhail Hamad Murtaja, a sniper in Hamas’ military wing, was killed in one of the strikes.
The IDF also eliminated Adham Khalil Mohammed Maarouf, a Hamas military operative who infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the Hamas-led Oct. 7 massacre.
On Saturday, the IDF eliminated a fourth terrorist, Abd al-Jawad Joudeh, an operative in Hamas’ military wing.
The military said the four terrorists were targeted because of the threats they continued to pose, including their efforts to restore Hamas’ military capabilities and prepare new terrorist attacks despite the ceasefire.
Their elimination comes as the IDF continues operating against threats in Gaza while maintaining its deployment under the terms of the existing agreement.
IDF forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue operating to eliminate any threat, the military said.
